Ah. Well, in case you're interested: Quetzalcoatl was actually a benevolent being, he taught man about agriculture, and warned us about the dangers of alcohol. He is also the one who warned Huitzilopochtli (the sun and war god) when the 300 stars were going to kill their mother, Coatlicue. He constantly clashed with the god of the Dark, Tezcatlipoca. Ironcally enough, the Corn God (Quetzalcoatl) was the Night's (Tezcatlipoca) rival instead of the Sun.
Yeah, pretty much. Tezcatlipoca was a very split-faced god. He was either VERY benevolent, or hideously cruel. He tricked Quetzalcoatl into getting drunk in a public dance with humans. Quetzalcoatl was so ashamed of himself he left for his home, the Polar star, but promised to return someday. It was that particular myth that allowed the Spanish Conquistadors such an easy conquest of America.
