That whole film is such a brilliant mess. Totally encapsulates the pistols and Malcolm in all their crassness, contradictions and glory.
There's a great book about Malcolm, "The Wicked Ways of Malcolm McLaren" by Craig Bromberg. If you haven't read it, it's totally worth it. He did a number of brilliant things before and after the Pistols, as you may know...
