did you use purity seal on it? because the shine is really detracting

I'm actually a Guard and White Scars player, I just had the model laying around heh. I ended up just donating it to a friend's new Thousand Sons army though, so he found a home at least

aaaah. Yeah, I wish I had a secondary guard army. Unfortunately the global economic crisis affects me as well as everyone else :/. It's almost as if GW burns the money in order to generate the heat to melt the plastic into the molds.

Guard's my main and has been for quite some time actually heh. I still have the Steel Legion guys I started with back at the Armageddon campaign, then stopped because making a metal guard army is overtly expensive.

Love the attention to detail in this. Despite what 1337 up there said, I think the finish looks fantastic.

Honestly anyone that can look at a model in a picture and say it's ruined without looking it on the game table doesn't.. really hold much sway in my opinion. To a degree he's right that the finish looks a bit off, which is why I stopped using it. I don't however, think it was outright ruined

It's a crying shame that DoW2 didn't have both the memorable quotes and the.. actual fun gameplay. Every game I tried of it was just a charlie foxtrot of who can send more generic crap into a meatgrinder

Well, if you have played other games by Relic, you would have realized that all Dawn of War 2 really is, is Company of Heroes in space :/. Seriously, look at CoH gameplay and compare it to DoW2. You'll notice some similarities.

It's similar but not as much as you think. CoH actually plays smooth and the different units are actually different.

In my opinion, CoH was perfect until they put the Brits in it. Nothing against the Brittish but, the play style of the Brits broke the game.

Panzer Elite roll over them pretty easily actually. Their incendiary grenades alone make slit trenches a death trap and if you go Luftwaffe tactics the falschirmjager with fg42 just eat every bit of infantry alive, especially with group zeal active. Scorched Earth tactics pin them in and make moving up dangerous, not to mention just sneaking the starter bike in with camo and booby trapping things ahead of your force and following it with assault/panzer grenadiers to burn strategic points to the ground. As the normal Germans.. I don't know, propaganda tactics and screening the king tiger might do well. I don't use the normal germans heh..

Yeah, honestly I prefered Panzer Elite over Wehrmacht mainly because the entire faction is assault based. That's why I didn't like the brits, they were waaaaay too defensive for my taste. Which is odd, because in World War 2 they really weren't... at all... unless you base the British war effort entirely on the Battle for the Skies of London.
