WTF this is digital? *dies*

The only things that aren't digital in this picture are the back walls and the palm tree (those were painted with acryllic), as well as some underlying pencil sketching for the outline of the figures. Everything else is computer drawn/textured, including the furniture and all those flowers.

Mind you, it did take me months, working on a tiny bit of it each day.

You are a virtuos! (did I spell that right?) I mean... I'm speechless.. the details are just... And that doesn't even cover it for the pictures actual content! beautifull yet kind of disturbing once you look at it for some time. just as how you put it. I feel like showing this to my non-furry friends.

Well, its not a literal redo of the movie. just some overall ideas from it. So, no shower scene. His attacks and reasons for attacking poeple are very different.

Just borrowed the sort of creepy/crazy, obsessed with his mother even though she's dead way... and also, dressing like her at times and acting like how he thinks she would.

This is fantastic, Silva... sad and creepy. And I also drew the comparison to Norman Bates right away... in fact I was talking to Sedge tonight, and this piece came up in our conversation (he'd seen it too), and I mentioned that that was what it reminds me of.

This is very nicely done, Silva! I am sorry if I didn't comment on it sooner. In a way, I do agree with Kiffa that this is a little creepy, the arm hanging out is a little wierd, but yet the blanket of flowers takes you eyes away from it. Zibri is a darling! Tramatized, Im sure, but he is so cute! You really do have an eye for color and shadow and light. I want you to print out your work, march right back to MAss Art, punch Linda Bond in teh face and show her yor work, saying that you do have a good sence of color and light! Hell, start painting again! Acrylic! Yay! Do a acrylic painting of this and hang it on yoru wall! XD

It started as an acryllic painting. As I said to NinjaWeasel, the back walls are paint. But I couldn't get the richness of color in acryllic that I wanted (I could if it was oil, but I'm no good at oils... never leanred, that I'd need a class for). plus with how long it took me on computer with all the shortcuts a computer can do for effects.... I'd be years on this as a painting. but thanks!

And its meant to be a little weird/creepy... Zibris whole life is beautiful to look at but disturbing to think about, its how he was designed. hell, I didn't think this would appeal to anyone, just got the image in my head one day and had to draw it.

well, i'm not a huge fan of psycho, n its been a long time since i seen it, but yeah, now that someone has mentioned it...norman bates... real creepy, but still beautiful in its own way ^_^ great job silva :D

I'm not a huge fan of it either (I like it ok). This is only very loosely based. In that he was obsessed with his mother, and that he's crazy. Other than that, completely different.

well... I faved it cause I loved it... nothing much more to tell I'm not a good talker :P the scene is great... the story is great... the flowers are amazingly well done... bravo!

thank you. maybe because it started out as a real painting (watercolor)? I finished the back walls, and did little bits but decided I wanted brighter, richer colors and textures (like the marble floor and orintal rug) that only the computer could give me. (well oil paint could too, but I'm no good with oils)

and ususally when somone mentions something like in this case "its digital" then I will notice but for somereason I still can't tell, even after knowing

You know, like 2 or 3 point perspective, I figure you'd probably be good with it. Unless you were already working with more than one point and I misread the image, in which case I'm embarrassed.

I just did it by eye, really, to match what I had imagined...didn't actually use any vanishing points. I thought you were criticizing it. I'm not good at the technical aspects of art. Art school just tore me apart, so I'm trying to teach myself slowly to do different angles and things.

That is pretty impressive for eyeballing, actually. Also, I didn't mean it in a negative fashion (I'm not very good at 3 point myself), just that it I would bet on it looking pretty good.

Or rather, that the complex backgrounds you do would mesh well with liner perspective or whatever it's called.

Reminds me a bit of a short story i read, "A Rose for Emily."

She kept her dead husband in her room and slept with his corpse for about 15 years before he was found. xD

But i still love this, great detail on everything.
