damn, I'd love to know how anyone is able to get a shot of lightning like that, it seems so fast, you'd have to be like super human to snape the shot in time :S

You have about half a second to react.
Takes about 1 to 2 full seconds from start to finish through a strike.
Then you just have to have the proper camera settings.
This particular shot is set at ISO-400 and exposure time at 1/8s. (Long exposure time)
