in this AU Virulent dies and leaves Virtuous all alone
she's completely distraught and it doesn't help at all that her family blames her for losing their holy son
She's forced to stay in Japan refusing to go home and face her family

Due to the nature of her quirk Virtuous can summon demons which were once human souls
it takes her several years before she's finally brought to the point of even trying to summon her brother, she severly doubted she'd be able too since he was so angelic in her eyes
and is utterly shocked when he actually appears to aid her

Damned for his sinful ways of life, his selfish nature and for using holy power with god's permission Virulent is now a demon
but he totally fine with it since he can still be with his sister
