Scuzzo is asking many of his customers to play a game (either a shell game or a card game). Beetlejuice is up for the challenge and raise the stakes (notice the pieces of wood that are floating behind him). Lydia Deetz is concern as she hid behind Beetlejuice's back. Scuzzo thinks that beetlejuice is a sucker but this clown has one hard to beat customer in front of him because Beetlejuice knew all of Scuzzo's tricks.
By the way I based this on a scene of the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episode called "High Stakes Sonic".
