Sketchbook 161: "Boy!"
Comments are always appreciated :)
Been playing the new god of War game recently.(If you are familiar with it, you'll understand the title) It was my most anticipated game of this year, and I am not disappointed in it. The soft reboot works well and seeing Kratos try to teach and care for his son is pleasant to watch. Speaking of the boy, I really, really liked Atreus during my time playing; so much so that I wanted to draw a picture of what it would look like if he were an anthro.
I made him a lion after seeing a few others portray Kratos and Atreus as lions, but I really feel like I should have made him a wolf now. Drawing all the details in the clothes was difficult as I still have trouble with clothes in general, and all these different details meant it took so much time.
In the end, I am quite pleased with how this turned out. Well, everything other than that one dang hand. It was something that I wasn’t going to spend forever on though so I kept it as is. I'm also not quite convinced it looks enough like him, but I still like the pic itself.
I doubt I’ll do any more go d of war fanart. If I do, it will be a surprise, because I feel I’m almost done with the game and after I beat it I will lose the motivation to draw art based on it.

Wow! Awesome lion version of Atreus! He looks so cute and badass at the same time! And the clothing looks great too! I love the God of War series, every single game, and the newest game certainly did not disappoint! My expectations were high when it was first announced and in the end, it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Sure, it's quite a change in terms of gameplay from the previous games. But a good change though. A damn good change! And on top of all that, I found my official headcanon voice for Asriel Dreemurr (child form) from Undertale! Yes, out of all possible voices for Asriel, I find Atreus's voice to be the most suitable one!
Thanks a lot!
I enjoyed the game too. The story was investing and I when I beat it, I felt so satisfied. The one thing that I didn't like was that there were so many reskin bosses, but the game was certainly a big step in the right direction for the future of the series.
And Atreus's voice is a pretty good choice for goat bro!
