It’s hard to find a Storm Series guitar that isn’t plagued by cracks in the finish. The finish on this beauty is immaculate, a sign that it was well cared for and stored in a properly humidified environment.

The Tornado was part of the Ovation Storm Series of semi-hollowbody guitars. Introduced in 1968, the Tornado and Thunderhead were Ovation’s first line of electric guitars. Later the Hurricane 12-string and Typhoon bass were added to the lineup.
