Deer Barn Damage, Trying 2 Figure Patreon, Welcome Donations
I know this isn't the Most exciting photos that I'm posting but this is a dilemma, or more like a problem that I am facing.
As many know, I love to post photos of my deer, and I have shared over 25 years of my art to many. For the most part I really haven't asked really anything in return. I do thanks those who have thrown a tip or help sponsor the deer.
Lately have had run into some problems with the deer and some with the art. I spending quite a bit of money to keep them feed, now the roof of my barn is collapsing due to age, bad weather, and a tornado that kind of made a mess out of things. My art that I don't mind sharing with others maybe bring in at the most maybe $400 a year I will admit that I'm slow at times do to a busy lifestyle. I'm also experimenting with different types of styles trying to make my work a bit more individual. At first I was against the patreon idea because I noticed that there were people exploiting it. I think I feel like that because I'm one of those unlucky ones I have to work a crappy kind of job, yet I see pull in 3k+ a month for putting paper towels on their pet cat, which leads me to believe that I’m in the wrong profession. If I get the support videos of my Deer will be on Twitter, Telegram, and YouTube.
I'm not sure how much patreon brings in for every bit of money that is donated but a few friends of mine suggest I should try it to help keep the deer hobby going in to share their photos, along with images of my artwork.
Here's the problem that I'm running to when it comes to patreon. I have set up an account, but beyond that I do not know what to do when it comes to setting up the websites are advertisements of what I can do. I have asked others for help who have patreon counts but I don't know if I'm wearing the wrong kind of deodorant, and/or if they just think they're better than others but I cannot get a straight answer. Other words patreon for me seems to be just a big dead end.
Some of my friends have suggested ideas like adopt a deer, sponsor a deer, or with the kindness of their heart to throw a couple extra buck that just happens to be laying around out of the kindness of their hearts. If people start doing that I will start posting some better quality images of the deer using portrait modes, old fashioned black and white images of the critters, and even videos of the critters playing.
Maybe people would be as nice to help with the project like if they were helping those with patreon accounts. Thanks for your time listening.
Please help out if you can. Donations are very much welcome at my PayPal account at bucky@brazosnet.com. I'm working with somebody and hopes to get calendars made of the deer in time ready for the next Texas Furry Fiesta. He's a professional photographer that likes to come out and take pictures of my critters a few times a year.
One $30 I would buy a piece of 10 to help with the new roof it's guesstimating that it's going to take about 40 to 60 pieces of that ten of some that I already have.
