I am posting this in a series of photographs I took when I was doing my rounds at work. I work at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station which is on the same island as Kennedy Space Center.
This is an area most civilians, even those visitors to KSC will never see. I wanted to share this with all of you because this solemn place holds a very special place in my heart and most of you will probably never get the honor of seeing this place
On January 27, 1967, a fire blazed within the capsule of Apollo One taking the lives of three brave men. Virgil "Gus" Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee. A set of marble benches reside near the pad to honor these brave men.
