I think we all grow lost from time to time. To live is to be uncertain really. But that doesn't make it any less terrifying when we struggle to understand our purpose and our place.

Deep down I'm sure many of us just want to feel safe in something. An idea even. So it is natural for us to strive to do better. It can be hard living up to that premise as we get older.

I think back a lot to when I was a kid and would just wander these empty fields out by my house and just explored. I stared at rocks and boulders, and watched the clouds glide across the sky. Saw the lizards run for shade and out of sight. These days I'd be told I was wasting my time when it could be spent doing something more productive.

Heck, I've been told that for so long and by so many people I'd probably be telling myself that. That's the thing about us. We want so many meaningful moments, and we want so many great things for ourselves. Sometimes though...sometimes I think we lose sight of what really is meaningful to us. I mean really meaningful.

I miss going somewhere without a reason and not worrying I'm doing something wrong. For awhile..I missed that feeling with my own art. Like I was doing something wrong and wasting my time.
