This is part pic - part short story. So if you don't read this, you're missing out.
Out from generally anywhere, the all-seeing sage let his presence be known by those around him. Behind him slacked a cloak of bulbous flesh, extra limbs, and a seeping ooze that masked as his own white shadow. A leach with many a foreign tongue slipped up from around the skulking tail and asked for praise in more than one way. However the sage appeared to ignore it. Which is quite easily understood. From every hair, every boney protrusion came an abnormal light that not even his very tumorous gaps could shade from. A very light that attracted flying insectoids, reptiloids, and droloids. Twas a mystery that he could see below at all more or less how he easily avoided stepping on his followers in every swaying motion. Was also up for question how easily the all-seeing one could withstand the constant buzzing around his many facial features.
Eventually, uncommonly, he came to a tremendous halt infront of a mammal. The furry one looked left, then right at the blank, stark, non-existent scenery. It's eyes beamed up at the idol. Pushing a long leg out of the way - his center of gravity well kempt with three other arms - the sage took a bow. Through his mandibles chortled the words, "I did not come for you. Do not misunderstand this."
Without waiting for a word to peep from the mammal, a claw from yet another appendage lifted. From it dangled a cup to a purse adjacent from a rough paw down to a ball holding a misshapen die. The die glowed like the rest of the sage. Such a pretty light to something as lowly as a mammal.
Again the sage spoke, wisdom whofting as every unheard, unseen breath, one of his eyes staring uncomfortably, "I shall bestow upon you creativity. With it will come texture, an open mind, and individuality. How you choose to use it will steer to your own personal accomplishments. Share it, treasure it, and even if you may forget me and your thoughts may wander, do not let the inner flames of your gift go out.
Raising two paws, the mammal reached up and gently plucked the haphazard bone die from it's chain. Looking it over carefully. Eventually, although out of breath, the mammal spoke in a weak, whimpering voice, "I do not feel any different."
However by then the sage had moved on.

The story/picture combination is really interesting, and the message about creativity is kind of deep. I like that.
The sage itself is also "interesting," though in the kind of way that causes the loss of a little sanity here and there. Then again, nobody ever said that inspiration had to be pretty.
