so, something a little unusual for me to upload, i've spend the last few days working hard on this bad boy, its the first step of a new larp gettup, (cus screw always playing as a human, jeez)
iam super proud of how its turning out (especially that i managed to make it feel sturdy, light, breathable and not have loss of vision in it) considering that i dont have THAT much experience in costuming, and practically zero in building fursuits and the like (just a pair of faun legs), so this is pretty much just cross training from drawing reptiles, making miniatures, and some experience working with these materials for larp-weapons
there is still lots to do here though, i still need to do gap-filling, mount straps to wear the damn thing on my face, add elastic to the jaw, obviously paint it up and add baggy "skin" to the neck... also i plan to do a set of gloves lower legs and tail to go with it, and a specialized hood to hide the back of my head (i also made a thing of padding for the back of my neck that i can wear underneath, to help break up the human silhuette if the baggy hood alone wont cut it)
oh, also the plan color-wise is to go for an earthy green for it all with counter-shading of a sandy underside and very dark green top/back scales, and probably a pastel green for the iguana-style cheek scales if i feel like i need them to pop more
