Wolf Dance Tagua Pendant
This pendant is made out of hand cut and polished tagua, which is a natural ivory substitute. It dries rock hard and yellows a bit with age, antiquing to a very convincing finish. It has been used even in museum reproductions of ivory pieces, and can be very hard to distinguish from the true material. It is also a renewable rainforest resource, and is a very fun material to work with. I use a pin-like needle tool to burn the image into the tagua. I have these pendants up for sale on my website : http://www.foxloft.com/Store/Jewelr.....TaguaPendants/
I now have over 60 glyph designs available!
This piece was a custom pendant commission for Vanessa Knight. The dancing wolf was actually an image I originally did as a tattoo commission - this particular pendant is double sided (one side the wolf, the other side the 'wereprint' image by Vanessa herself).
