"There was a sound or some kind of codified buzz, for a brief moment Jimmy, Dan, Jeff and George froze in their position. Randal and Jose were the first to realize the situation.
“Come on Dad! Guys, what’s happening?!”
“Snap out it! Please! Dan...?”
Jimmy the otter bot gave a turn around his eyes became blue again.
“workday in Futureland is over, time to report to storage and recharging”
Was the part so far I like the most this chapter. Does this mean they'd then report for work in the morning? And wouldn't their power run down if they weren't plugged in later?
"a weird device attached in the motor, connected to the car battery."
Why do something this elaborate? This scheme feels like it has too many moving parts.
I was really hoping to see more of the reprogramming, and to see it go somewhere with the ability to let the robots have active thoughts, but only centered around their purpose.
