On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, an audio clip popped up on the Internet, raising a debate as to whether or not the sound emanating from said clip is one of two things: "Yanny" or "Laurel" (with "Vote" as the only other word). It had already made the rounds on American late night talk shows and early morning broadcasts - causing its hosts and co-hosts to debate as to which sound it really is.
Pollsters had the votes almost at a 50/50 split between "Yanny" and "Laurel". And the debate is still going on...
For my latest edition of 'sweeps month' (May, 2018), I have a new "Front & Back" gag about said audio clip, in the form of a message on the T-shirt of my feline 'fursona' - which will probably be a big seller, come Christmastime (if the debate lasts that long)...
