Really well made intermission. I like it.

Though I am confused there now a bit. Maybe it is because the person writing this here is speculating himself. It is said that the bonding has to happen willingly between two compatible parts, Enyo and human. Though in the comic so far we saw often the merging happening after a human was killed. Was this sort of done to prevent that the enyo has to sort of 'ask' for permission to merge, as there is no more human mind in the dead body? Or am I missing here something?

And I always wondered how something like this must feel for the two entities to merge together. Like, it is not that there is now just one body with two minds, even the minds are merged. What such an action causes to one's psyche....must be pretty intense that you are you, and at the same time, you are not.

If you're referring to page 2, the person that was killed wasn't the one that became an Istrala. It was the man that killed him that was chosen by the enyo.

And yes, to me, that is a big part of the fun of the story. Knowing that you're yourself, but also NOT yourself. You're you, but also something else. It's one of the more enjoyable concepts in the story to toy around with for me. I'm glad you enjoy it as well. =)

Oh, I see. Seems I confused something there. So the enyo carefully look for people that they are sure of that they would bind with them, and not make it an unsuccessfull merger. Guess these demons do this by promising these kind of people what they always dreamed of, power and strength etc etc.

Yes indeed. It is quite a scary thought, though here it is not as scary as in other stories I read. Mostly because as the person here describes it that the Ego, the consciousness, of this new being is still nearly 100% human, while the sub-consciousness is the one of the Enyo. So, one can even argue that they still are sort of seperate beings in one new body. Maybe like mental siamese twins, attached to one another, yet seperate. I mostly say this, as IRL consciousness and sub-consciousness still can vastly differ in behavior and all.

Though I am now so super-curious where this will all lead our hero to. After all, he cannot go back to the humans really, and I am afraid he won't really fit into the realm of these demons either, he seems like he would be an outcast from both sides now.

I think the draw is because some of them are so darn cute, lol
