Ahhhh...
This takes me back to the days when I was writing teen poetry (angst rather than emo—I was a child of the seventies, and a teen in the eighties).
I had a piece with some similarities to this with the title "No Need For Tomorrow". Essentially, the idea was: "why do we need a 'tomorrow' when it looks like whatever 'tomorrow' we're going to get is going to be worse than today?"
Some things never change. :P
