Species: Amoebine

Height N/A (8'2" in casual anthro form)

Biology: Cipher is an artificial being comprised of highly replicating cells. Cells divide and combine so fast without any difficulty. He is more like a hive mind of cells that act similar to single-cell organisms, than a single organism. Feels and moves like a colloid. It can become more solid by tensing his cells, or more liquid by relaxing them. The transparency of the mass can be changed depending on the density and cellular arrangement. Mass can split countless times, so Cipher can be at multiple places at once. Incapable of digestion, yet can get energy on his own by some unknown means(presumably by absorbing thermal heat and/or carbon dioxide). Mass is completely safe and breathable, but Cipher can suffocate those within him if he were to choose (however it is extremely unlikely that he would choose such a thing). Can see in a shortsighted range and quality without eyes, but can see perfectly through eyes he's formed. The same goes for ears. When tasting, can either scatter taste sensors he's created around his prey, or concentrate them on something like a formed tongue. Practically invincible, but can be harmed by an extreme temperature of heat or cold.


Personality: Never harms innocents or his friends, and is very fond of those he cares about. Sometimes overprotective, he usually stays with his family and friends. When devouring, he usually does it as a means of fun or affection. Even though he can be at different places at the same time, Cipher almost never splits apart to do that and remains as a singular mass most of the time. Mainly stays in his casual lizard-anthro form, and other times chooses different forms. The reason for all this is that Cipher wants to enjoy life as a being like anyone else, to not be everywhere at once. He chooses to do things that are natural functions for everything else like making mouths to swallow his friends than simply absorb them, and belch to release air he's taken in after swallowing someone rather than seep out as per his natural means.

Biography: Cipher was created by a rogue, fanatical science division, and was made to a living weapon to exert control over entire planets. So far, he is the only known Amoebine in existence. To test his effectiveness, Cipher's creators put him through torturous tests and experiments. After he and the other experiments rebelled against their creators, Cipher chose to stay in the abandoned laboratory, having nowhere to go. A few years of isolation passed, before a human named Jake, who just recently became adopted by a family of feral Uprorians, accidentally found the lab during a blizzard. When Cipher first encountered Jake, he was very hostile and threatened to kill him if he didn't leave immediately after the storm ended. In the lab, Jake found information about Cipher and came to give him solace. When Jake did this, Cipher became enraged and attempted to kill Jake, but after he asked if he would feel better after killing him, Cipher immediately ceased his aggression and took care of Jake by keeping him warm. The two had fun while they were trapped in the lab, Cipher showing off his shapeshifting abilities, having fun for the first time in his life. As Cipher grew more fond of Jake, he vowed to protect him with his life. When the storm eventually ended, Cipher took Jake back to his family. There Cipher was accepted into Jake's family and became his adoptive brother. It didn't take long for Cipher's confidence with the outside world to grow as he met more friends, but before that, he clung to Jake like a scared child. Now, Cipher tends to hide from the public, but cares deeply for his friends, and isn't afraid to use most of his potential when playing games.
