Wings of Fire dragon.
So the dragon here is Mirage - she got her name from ghastly-pale, almost reflective scales. She's also quite thin, even for a Sandwing. All this caused others to nickname her "Wraith". And her character doesn't make the situation better - let's say Burn or Blister would be proud to have such daughter (though they'd most probably kill her quickly to remove the threat). She enjoys stinging small creatures with her barb and watch them die slowly from poison, but she's not daring when it comes to confrontation with other dragons. She most likely flee, avoiding fight and try to kill them stealthy. Being a misfit in the Sandwing society, she chose to live near the border of Ice Kingdom, haunting the wastelands and living up to her nickname.
My hand was really hurting when I was done with all these scales and stuff, but I think it was worth some pain. I chose a viper-like, triangular shape of scales - I was trying to adapt scorpion carapace at first, but it didn't work well with non-segmented, muscle-covered body. I thought of making the tail even longer to give it similar range to actual scorpion's sting (attacking from overhead), but then it would be too heavy (too keep it strong enough to pierce other dragon's scales and flesh) and Sandwings' long necks didn't help in this case. I also made the paws quite broad to allow the dragon to walk on sand easier (alike camel hooves).
