Yet another dragon from Wings of Fire.
About the design - I wanted to make the scales look a bit like a rogue/assassin leather armour (Deathbringer influence I guess). Also added what is missing in "official" design - strong prehensile rear paws with long digits that would allow the dragon to hang down the cave wall in bat-like style.

And a short story for the dragon himself (spoiler alert - about Nightwings this time) :)
Shadewhisper was one of two rare, twin eggs that were supposed to hatch in the night of two full moons - almost three in fact, so his parents were expecting both dragonets to have outstanding powers. They even made a small heap of stones so that the hatching eggs would get maximum light. It happened though that when the first shell cracked, Shadewhisper's sister was trashing around so much while trying to free herself, that she knocked his egg down into the pile's shadow. That caused his powers to be somehow disturbed. He can see future - many futures - but he can never tell which vision is certain, which is only a possibility and which is completely false. Also coming visions make his tear-shaped silver scale itch. He's barely able to read minds, for him it's more like reading emotions and feelings than actual thoughts. He has one special ability though - never fully developed since he mostly uses it subconsciously: instead of reading he can influence emotions, feelings and even thoughts of others. Not by much, but enough for him to achieve the goals he really cares about (like there's the last cake on the plate and some dragon coming near it suddenly thinks "Oh, I think I shouldn't eat it, I already had enough today"). It may seem that in his case his name really defined his power.
