~Keicoe fairies~ Species sheet 1
Furaffinity, you and your size limit better not let me down.

✸ While mostly physical beings, keicoe fairies are also heavily magic-centered as well. They're fairly adept at using most kinds of magic, but the majority favor illusions and light and fire-centered fields. They also have a special brand of magic that they use to aid in flight, though this is ingrained to the point where it's less a skill and more a physical trait.
✸ Keicoe fairies are mostly feral and avoid living with more civilized species, preferring their own societies over the general furry populace, though the more social breeds (regarding size and habitat) often visit and spend a fair amount of time living among ordinary furries. They have their own language, but most are capable of speaking the languages of the civilizations around them.
✸ They don't do the whole changeling deal, however, young keicoe pups will VERY frequently join in groups of furry children and befriend them, sometimes leading them into the forest to play with them there. They do this under their disguise forms, so they're usually dubbed "the weird kid who hangs out in the woods and doesn't talk much, but is pretty cool anyway"
✸ Their muzzles generally determine their diets, though all keicoe fairies are predatory in nature and omnivorous. Dog and cat skull shapes tend to hunt larger prey and eat the more difficult parts of an animal (marrow and gristly bits, for example), while fox and opposum skull shapes tend to lean slightly more toward fruits and fungi and things requiring less jaw strength.
✸ Most keicoe fairies have a sweet tooth, and can easily be bribed or befriended by offering candy. In turn, they will also do the same to people they want to bribe or befriend, with the candies they make themselves.
✸ They will often join groups of travelers they like under the guise of a normal furry, but very rarely reveal their actual species to others.
✸ All keicoe fairies will meet strangers only when disguised. They can tell a normal furry from a disguised fairy from a furry who can tell that they're disguised, and only reveal themselves around people they trust or those who know that they're disguising themselves.
✸ The tiny breed can understand the area's common languages, but rarely speak to outsiders. Other breeds are a lot more likely to speak to normal furries, disguised or not, though most fairies are typically very quiet around people.
✸ Fairies are known for gathering in large groups during celestial events, during which they throw massive parties, though they will often throw parties regardless of whether they have a reason or not. They're happy to welcome in anyone who finds these parties, and unlike other fae, it's very safe to join them. However, people who do find themselves amidst a keicoe fairy party often come out of it felling some kind of magical influence, ranging anywhere from bad luck to improved magical skills to being able to recognize a disguised keicoe fairy.
