So I'm a huge fan of Doom, and recommend everyone try the Doom Roguelike- DoomRL. I particularly love the spritework for it, and Cacodemons especially.
This is what you wind up with when you combine all of it together. This sprite was actually damn hard to do- there is a lot of shading my horrible camera work probably doesn't pick upon.
Also this is about 3-4 inches, to put it into size perspective. Really cool!
