MOSTLY because I have little time right now, I have been able to throw 30 minute here and there to do some various doodles and i wanted to focus on solidifying how the Dreki should look and stand so that i can also start working on making this more suited for them. They have similar dexterity and strength when compared to humans if a little bit weaker in upper arm abilities. However they stand and work in a very different way than humans

Most of this was working on trying to solidify what dreki look like in normal standing. Which my way of explaining it is a velociraptor like body with a more human set of shoulders. Their upper torso functions much like a humans and allows them to do things such as manipulating objects, swinging and lifting etc. Everything that is related and semi isolated to the upper torso is pretty similar to how a human would

Things change below the Ribcage however as the body has to flatten out to remain properly balanced. So their lower half is centered around the belly which is also where the legs are. These legs are only really good at moving forward at high speeds, or jumping. Dreki can't turn on a dime easily and cannot walk backwards period, having to jump to the side or backwards. When casually standing or walking they take up this raptor like stance most of the time, they can stand upright as long as they aren't moving. But they cant stand upright forever and will eventually fine the strain on their legs to be a little too much for standing upright any longer than 5 minutes or so.

Dreki can sit upright a lot more easily though and often do! Though laying flat on the belly is also fine. Lastly, Due to their raptory bodies it makes it a little more difficult to work out wearing things. Since their body effectively makes a right angle it makes things a bit harder in that respect, and clothing is very important to not freeze or to allow someone to carry more things (like a backpack or pockets, etc.) so i wanted to discuss some thoughts on that. At least the once human dreki have the benefit of being nearby folks who have lived for countless thousands of years as Dreki before being dumped into our world

Caste Styled tunics for example are pretty close to Human Shirts, but the torso tends to be incredibly short, this is mostly because when your body flattens out like a drekis does, having that excess cloth goes to waste. More Americanized versions usually encorporate better hoods, shorter sleeves/ no sleeves, or just turn them into ponchos.

For keeping the back, tail and belly warm there are a few options which i didnt draw here but i plan on addressing later but i would like to talk about em now!

The most basic option is to drape a simple blanket across ones back, since the back is parallel to the ground its incredibly easy to just, lay a blanket on your back. Many dreki will do this as its just easy to do! if you have a blanket throw it on your back for a simple cover
A more complicated version of the idea is to make a cloth that is hung from a belt at the start of the belly and then reaches across the back being tied off at the base of the tail. This is a lot better for working since it wont blow off your back like a blanket might and isn't much more complicated
The most complicated and expensive style is to essentially make pants. a belt hung from the start of the belly that has a wrap that is tightly worn across the belly and back. With holes for the legs, however its hard to make sleeves for the legs so often those are seperate garments. These frankly look wierd, however are seen in later years in the dragonscape as a sign of wealth
Belts tend to be worn vertically as opposed to where a human might wear one horizontally. Due to the fact the belly is again, parallel to the ground. so things like pouches that are mounted on the belt are hung vertically to face the ground and be usable as pouches and whatnot.

Speaking of holding things, bags! So one thing that im probably going to change in the wake up stuff after the comic (because i dont want to make things change suddenly there, that would ruin everything) is the bag
So unless the strap is very short the bag would just kinda dangle off awkwardly and make walking with it annoying. Since the shoulders of a dreki are in front of belly and whatnot anything that hangs like a satchel would be pretty awkward and clumsy unless that shoulder strap is very low. Plus Dreki have a great center of balance right at their belly so a backpack or some sorta thing like that is a great idea! Perhaps things that resemble saddlebags could be worn but i touched on one idea here i had in mind

Its pretty close to a normal backpack, a flap on the right side of this idea allows it to open up to a compartment for backpacky things. The straps involve two small shoulder straps for the arms as well as a strap that runs across the belly and a strap at the base of the tail to keep the bag on. But it's very stable, the dreki can run with the bag and walk long distances in relative comfort and convenience. But im still thinking about that and since a good backpack is important for traveling the dragonscape. But i think thats a good enough explanation now. I imagine a belt with a pouch that rests on the back is also perfectly good!
