Did you do the blue sketchwork first, then watercolor over it? Then add ink on top of that work? If so, did you do all of the shading and such in watercolor kinda knowing where the ink lines were going to go, or were you kinda playing it by ear the whole time? Apologies for the questions but I really like how this looks (even as a practice piece!) and I kinda wanna take it apart some haha.

Yeah, the blue sketchwork comes first, then I use waterproof ink on top, and watercolor, and water-soluble ink "on top" of that- just have to keep the coloring area moist to make sure it all blends together a bit
