Of course there were a host of helicopters on view at the show too. This one caught my interest as it was glossy black, inside and out. No markings, except for a tail code, so I'm guessing this was a "Prop" helicopter, used in the movies or TV commercials.

Ah ha. The LAPD and the LA County Sheriff's department have a landing field not too far from here, and they often use Wildcat Canyon as a path over into Glendale and Burbank. Sometimes they fly so low, I can smell the Kerosene from the jet exhaust. I find your comment funny tough as I get the impression there's just no way to make a helicopter fly silently.
