It hardly seems fair - you post twenty chapters, and then get one comment at the very end of it. I could claim that I couldn't stop reading long enough to comment chapter by chapter ... but then, blaming the victim isn't playing fair. Anyone who can both write something this good and this extended deserves nothing but praise.

I like your sense of characterization and personality, and the way the plot unfolds. There's just enough hints and backstory to keep the important backstory fresh without making the foreshadowing too obvious (very nice). Which in turns brings me to the plot.

Thief betrayed by the one who hired him to bring him The Macguffin. I can't say I'm as enthralled there; it verges on cliche. But sometimes straightforward plots are the best approach, and your execution of the plot was quite good. A nice sense of suspense, good fallout, dilemmas ... even a happy ending.

All in all, a very pleasant thing to read on a balmy Saturday morning.
