So I got this crazy idea to make a hat for
wolphyn based on her character, roughly a burgundy-and-white striped gryphon (well, gryphon variant... Phillippine eagle plus dhole). This is all hand-sewn fleece, and as such was ridiculously time-consuming to make. x_x It's kind of like a modified jester hat design, what with the bells... I am quite happy with the result, but I am never, EVER doing this again! (at least, not by hand; I got my sewing machine back recently, thank gawd, but it was too late to modify the pattern with enough margins for machine-sewing. next time, next time...)

oh my good god, that's wonderful!
I saw the colours in the thumbnail and I was like 'wwooooooowwww!!!'
that's some nice work on the markings - I can bet it was a pain attatching all the strips to the hat - how did you do it?
nice work on the ears too, they settle in nicely behind those frontal strips
