oh! THE SECRET? there is none just look
i simply use a background color and put some base colors with a low opacity brush so the colors start blending together and they're unified because of the bg color in common 0:
it looks all soft then suddenly i grab the hard round brush and start picking specific colors out of the drawing itself and then it makes 'em look.. sharper! :D
