This idea was based on a Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" strip when Peppermint Patty was asking Charlie Brown for a definition of "security".

Charlie Brown then responds that security to him was being asleep in the back seat of the family car during a long trip. The parents up front do the worrying. When one grows up and does all the driving and worrying in the front seat, that sense of security may never happen again. Peppermint Patty gets appropriately frightened and says "Hold my hand, Chuck!!"

The strip resonates.
