This is the first image I've seen of someone trying to interpret Rakshan technology. Is the six pointed star symbol in the corner the Ship's logo, or the symbol for the Rakshan Space Forces? Also, do they "Borrow" Federation Technology a lot?

The symbol is meant to be the Rakshan Navy. They didn't really strike me as the type for peaceful exploration. At least in this point of history :P

Based upon the idea that they threatened a war with the early Federation before the Caitains persuaded them not to, they were presumably fairly good ship builders in their own right - hence I've assumed that quite a bit of 'modern' Federation warp-drive is rakshan derived, just as I've assumed that the early version was voxxan derived.

None of that 'humans suddenly and for no good reason invent the best warp system the galaxy has seen for a hundred years' nonsense here.

Would you mind if I "hijack" your design and build a 3D model of it? Lately I've been trying my hand in hard surface modelling and your ship looks like a prime target to test all the skills I gained so far.

Not at all! Feel free to model away. I've tried to model it myself but keep running into the limitations of my modeling software. (Such as it's basic incompatability with modern OSes!) Sorry for the late reply, but I've been snowed under at work for the past week.
