Another "speed painting." I did this with NO sketching... just laid down rough color first with pressure-actuated opacity brush then used a lot of smudging with various brushes. At the end I applied a blur to the background to help the owl stand out and added mist and glow around the owl. Took about 3-3.5 hours in PhotoShop CS5.
