A sketch of a new D&D character I've been working on on/off all day.
This was a personal challenge and I decided to try pushing myself to do a lot of the things I'm uncomfortable with - i.e. an animal body, human face, a more expressive face (I have a tendency to draw neutral/smiling faces almost exclusively), plus a real (albeit very bad) background.
I'm extremely pleased with the result if I'm honest! It's quite different from what I'd normally attempt and I decided to keep the lineart very rough and similar to my sketch stage so that I could focus a little more on the background and colour scheme. I'll probably upload a flat coloured version in my scraps to show off his colour scheme a little (I managed to get it pretty spot on to what I had in mind while I was writing his back story, sorting stats etc. so I'm proud of that!)
He is a cervitaur mystic in case anyone was wondering!
