A quick doodle up of the Castes in size comparison
Ok first off, cant upload tomorrow! Here is why:
Howdy folks! So I wont be able to upload tomorrow because i have been prepping for a 4 day long gauntlet of performances, starting early tomorrow performing with a few elementary schools in line, Thursday i have another elementary school and a marimba get together thing that i honestly dont know much about, only that im playing in it. I have one possible performance friday and then saturday Myself and several other marimbists are playing at a funeral which the folks there requested marimbists since the passed gentleman was a marimba himself. I only was told about the saturday performance today
On the upside i will be getting paid for all of this, though I am offering to take on , but ANYWAYS point is I am short on time, so I cant put time into the comic, at least enough to complete the next page, so im holding off till next wednesday
so what is this?
Here is a brief illustration of the Castes in size comparison and looks, I haven't actually drawn any of the castes above the Ormer Caste so i wanted to touch on two of the higher castes that i touched on in an earlier journal, for those interested here is the journal
theshaggydragon.deviantart.com…
The two new castes shown here are the MaeVaeJur and the PreJagar. for more info on how they actually are i would suggest the journal before i ramble on too long. But as you can see, The Castes get BIG. save Human Dreki, often referred to as SimaDrekir, meaning "new Dreki"
Side note, the R in Drekir implies a plural in Draconic language, 1 dreki, 2 drekir, even though normally there is no plural that i say
anywho
Yeah i hope this helps show what i had in mind for at least 2 of the higher castes, the higher the caste is the less biological they tend to look, the mask on the MaeVaeJur and the heads of the PreJagar are made of a clay like substance. very wierd and also hard to break, nigh impossible to break even! Unless you got some artillery laying around.
These folks are all hard to take on as a Dreki and most dreki that dont get captured will often only see Caste Dreki and Ormers, however, those that either surredner and join a caste town or are forced into the work will often become aquainted with the higher castes
If you as a non captured dreki or dreki town wind up seeing MaeVaeJur... then that means the Castes in the area dont like you and that is often just one is enough to give a well equipped party a handful. Several coordinating dozens of Ormer is INCREDIBLY dangerous to even well organized dreki towns and cities. And if you see a PreJagar... you're gonna need a lot of very well trained, well equipped fighters to have a chance, 20 professionals can do it if they are real good at killing castes. Now if you wind up having a PreJager, that also means the castes of the area REALLY... REALLY HATE YOU and are just trying to annihilate your village, if a PreJagar has come then they will also take an army of several MaeVaeJur, potentially several dozen Ormer and enough Caste Dreki to overrun you. In other words. Unless you have a ton of amazing fighters or a big army, it would be advisable to turn tail and run if you spot a PreJagar outside of a Caste City
So as a General rule with Castes that i didnt mention in the bigger journal. Being attacked by an ormer or two with up to a dozen caste Dreki, normal
Being attacked by several Ormer and a MaeVaeJur or two means you've been targeted to be eliminated or enslaved by a Caste town
Seeing a PreJagar outside of a Caste Town AT ALL is a time you should probably be rethinking your life choices, because they want you dead
If you see a Wykur period, you are probably gonna die
If you see a Balar WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU ARE ALREADY PROBABLY DEAD
And if you see a Raddir up close then you might of given the Steiron a little bit of a hug and you are going to go insane and then die
Shaggy out!
