So this submission I would have posted soon 2 years ago http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20551417/ remains my most seen and fav'd BD fanart for having been one of my first fanarts introducing fans to the fandom's resurection and having the key words in the title so still trending in the tag. And I was proud of it back then. But in 2 years, many things changed, whether be it for their designs than for thier bios. Plus my style changed, I just can't believe I was proud of how they looked here XD But the reason I didn't do a redraw ? Because back then they were the only OCs but now I have many many more ! It would be a series that would maybe be endless ! It'll never end ! So I just decided to repost the drawing with new indication written in red, and rewrite a bit of the bios here, you can compare on the former submission :
King Pendragon (inspired from, well, Uther Pendragon XD) was the former king of Camelhot and Allfire's biological father. He was a very good king who cared about people and his kingdom, but also very, very, very energic, life-loving, enthusiastic about everything and anything and couldn't remain focused more than 2 seconds. He ruled alone for years. He never got married for he didn't want to force anyone to marry him (his mother once was about to get him engaged to a countess' daughter, Elizabreath, but he didn't want to force her especially as she loved someone else. As the engagment couldn't be cancelled, she got married to Leodragon then ! Poor her), but loving life and also "fun" in all meaning of the term (and kings are popular among girls hehehe) and never had any official child, but did, one night, have a some "drunk fun" with a nymphomaniac damself named Eagerna he flirted with one party he had thrown. When he thought again about it the next day, he realized he had forgot to put a condom, so worried about having maybe impragnated her. Since then, he always thought he might have a kid, but 6 months (my HC for dragon gestation) later, he decided to check. She had died in the forest, and according to the family doctor, who hid it from her parents for her post-mortem memory, she actually died of child birth, she went alone to lay it in the forest and it disappeared apparently (she laid it next to the river, it actually rolled to it and was brought to Allfire's future adoptive faher Sir Heator). He got very guilty of it for having indirectly led to this dragoness' death and because he absolutely craved to know if the egg was well. He got convinced it was alive. He was sure his son or daughter would come back to his or her origins and go to Camelhot someday after asking the Lady of the Lake who gave a vague answer. So he asked her to put a spell on the family's sword, Excaliburn, so that after he put it in a rock, only his child will be able to pull it off and become king or queen, but for to be sure everyone and anyone to try, to pretend (only her and Leodragon would know the real condition) publicly anyone worthy enough to be the next monarch will pull it off, and the truth shall be revealed only when that child would have come. 5 years after that day, he got a terrible tumor and died, Leodragon became the regent and kept his foster brother's wish alive by keeping the secret about the sword in the stone's truth.
In season 2, I know his hair and eyebrows would be black and his sclerotics would be yellow, but maybe, depending of what change of design I will come up with, there could be more.
Regent Leodragon/Sir Leodragon the Strict (inspired from Sir Leodegrance) was the former king-regent (actually officially "king" but as a tribute to his brother he always insisted in wanting to be just called "regent") of Camelhot and Pendragon's foster brother. His parents, a couple friend with the royal family, died when he was a toddler after a carriage accident, so the king and the queen adopted him and raised him with the prince like if they were brothers. The 2 became very close as if they were brothers, even if as very up to the rules as he was he was desperate to have such an immature brother who always disobeyed, but when their father died when they were teenagers, and that Pendragon became a king without feeling ready at all, he supported him and became his faithful boydguard, and was devastated when he died. When he became regent waiting for the rightful ruler to come, he was a good and fair, yet very cold and strict king who never tolerated any exception on his laws due to his deep medieval-like religious beliefs, but never got power-hungry, even if he had doubts about his brother's statements he kept considering himself as a regent waiting for his nephew and niece to come. He was married to Lady Elizabreath, but she ran away with Sir Loinfire and let him alone with their egg. He didn't like the squire then knight Allfire, finding him stupid and hating his flirting with his daughter (his hatred for him actually started when because of his stupidity he let her be kidnapped, ok he brought her back but he never forgave him that), and always found something to reproach him. Bad luck, he was Pendragon's son and pulled off Excaliburn ! Having no choice, Leodragon gave his pet peev his crown. Not liking him either but finding out he was his adoptive uncle, newly-named King Allfire dubbed him knight, Sir Leodragon, and made him the first knight of a new union, the Square Table. Althought he didn't like him and found a lot of rules of the Code of Chivalry stupid, Leodragon remained faithful to his king (and son-in-law) and always obeyed (I feel him, he can't disregard any rule, just like me). He was very strong despite his very skinny look, and if it was not for his strict, up-to-the-rules, traditionalist, religious, racist toward humans and homophobic behaviour, he would be the sanest character before Flicker and Flame's birth, Flame actually took this sanity (except its flaws), this way of being annoyed by the surrounding idiots in the kingdom and his physical strenght despite his look from him ; this did make him, even if King Allfire hated to admit it, his most competent knight at the time. Poor guy never had any luck in his life : his biological parents died when he was 2 in an accident in which he was, his adoptive father died when he was a teen, his wife left him (he didn't love her but he felt humiliated) with a premature egg that later would lead to a premature hatchling, his adoptive brother died, he raised a sick child alone, she married his nemesis, he had to obey to his nemesis, he fell in love with a dragoness who already had someone and innocently friendzoned him not knowing his feelings for her, and worse of all, his daughter died before him, which slowly weaken him until he died of a "broken heart" as Allfire called it 11 years later. Sometimes, when life fucks you hard, it never pulls up its pants.
In season 2, his scales would be darker, there would be spikes on his tail and his sclerotics would be yellow.
Princess/Queen Morlava (inspired from Morgana, but really, really just for the name, nothing in common at all name aside) was the former queen of Camelhot and King Allfire's first wife. Prematurely laid and hatched, she was very weak and thin and fell sick or hurt very often and very easily all her life. All her bones got broken at least once, she managed to have chicken pox TWICE, she had many if not all alergies, she managed to survive all the deadly diseases at the time... so she decided by herself to enjoy life the best she could, to try her best to live normally, Carpe Diem was her motto and she found a lot of things cute and funny (she was the one who convinced her husband to hire Cinder and Clinker because she found them hilarious) more easily than people. She was raised by her father (the mom ran way) Leodragon who adored her and was very overpretective due to the fact she was his only family left and to the fact she was so fragile. She was still very nice, not at all bratty despite being spoiled, in fact she wanted to be up to the rules like him (until love and frustration came through, read this : https://benthehyena.deviantart.com/.....ue-691842741). She quickly became friend with the new squire, Allfire, who got a love at first sight with her and she found it cute how shy he was around her. She soon fell in love back and they had a relationship kind of similar to Flicker and Flame, romantic friendship as he was just a squire, and she was the Flicker of the relationship because of the rules of a princess not having to date a squire while Allfire was the Flame of the relationship trying to get love words from her mouth and rolling his eyes when she changed subject (THAT'S WHY IN MY HEADCANON WHEN HE WOULD FIND OUT FOR FLAME AND FLICKER HE WOULD GO "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER ?!"). As soon as he got knighted, Allfire asked Morlava's hand to her father who refused. Leodragon was fucking overpretective. It was too much for Morlava who finally decided to break the rules and to date and even have sex in secret for 2 year. But when Allfire became king, eh, they married, he could do anything. They remained married for 7 years. But Morlava wanted a child, fearing menopause was approaching. He didn't want because he feared she would be to weak to bear and then to lay an egg. After insistance and insistance, Morlava won and they got her pregnant. Of course, she was always in bed, being even weaker than usual... And she died in childbirth, after having layed the egg countening Princess Flame...
In season 2, she would have s2 Flame's color palette except for the blonde hair that would be even lighter.
Sir Crisptanned the Greatly Great and Incredibly Incredible (inspired from Sir Tristan) was a wandering knight who didn't belong to any kingdom. Very narcissic and a big playa, he wandered around Great Britain all his life in order to be loved like a hero and to get girls. One night, he stopped by the lake of the Lady of the Lake to sleep and to drink, and he met the magical dragoness. He found her hot, she found him hot, she welcomed him, they flirted, they fucked all night, and he left the next morning. But what the Lady of the Lake didn't predict was that he got her pregnant. She rolled with it and became a loving mother to Murray. but one year exactly later, he came back to the lake, having forgotten about her. She found him and scolded him, showing the baby. He gulped, not wanting to be comitted, but being even more of a manipulator than his future son would be, he managed to get her to bed again, before leaving again. And she got pregnant again. Feeling humiliated for having been so naive, to have been fooled TWO times by the same guy, and doing it TWO times without protections, all she saw in Loungelot was a proof of her weakness and she never loved him (my headcanon is without mommy issues he would have been a much better dragon). When Sir Crisptanned came back one year later again thinking she had become his free sex ticket, he tried to seduce her again but she banished the heck out of him and scared he never came back.
In season 2, his scales would be dark red and his wings wouldn't have visible claws anymore.
Sir Grilliant the Seriously Deranged (inspired from Prince Valiant ; I know he wasn't a real knight of the Round Table, but I couldn't help XD) was a former knight of the Square Table. He used to just be shy and calm, but one day, he found a magical singing sword. Since then, he heard it talking to him every time non-stop, telling him to do things he didn't want to do or giving him reproachess or infos about everything and everyone but because of a magical spell, he could never get rid of it, it would always come back never letting him be, especially as nobody else could hear it and think he was crazy, he even ended up to get doubts about it himself. It slowly turnt Grilliant paranoid, cowardly and almost crazy, hearing voices from his sword even when he put it somewhere else, and he could barely sleep. He took his own life 20 years before season 1 stabbing himself with that sword, freeing himself from its evil at last.
In season 2, his claws would be very light grey and the colors of his body scales and his belly would swap.
Sir Burncival the Very Modest (inspired from Sir Percival ; because in the French dub Sir Burnevere is called "Messire Brûleval", making him a parody of Percival instead of Bedivere. I re-used to the pun from the French name) was a former knight of the Square Table, and the youngest one ; even if 2 years older than Sir Burnevere's squire Loungelot, he was smaller and looked younger than him. Very shy and modest, he preferred poetry over fights, and was very bashful to the damsels in distress. He was very romantic and his goal was to find the princess of his life one day. Very naive, the other knights, especially Squire Loungelot, sometimes manipulated him to do missions he didn't want to, because he was either too scared, too shy or simply because he thought it wasn't up to his moralis. Very modest, Burncival never looked for success. On the contrary, praise made him very uncomfortable. When realizing knight life was too intense for him and that he woul never find love anyway, and getting filled with faith after Sir Leodragon's biblical sermons, he decided to give up in being a knight and become a monk in an abbey in the mountains 23 years before season 1.
In season 2, his scales would be mustard, his tail would end by an arrow and his sclerotics would be yellow.
Sir Lamodrak the Awfully Threatening (inspired from Sir Lamorak ; and inspired from the Black Dragon Machine from the video game for the color palette !) was a former knight of the Square Table. Very scary, tall and buff, everyone, especially Sir Grilliant, got varying degrees of fear when meeting him. But he was a good guy when you got to know him who actually rarely got angry, so then they all understood he was a great friend to count on. He was often quiet and calm, speaking rarely, and was very effective and dangerous at fights, making him the strongest knight (but not the most competent as not as smart as Leodragon, the second strongest). He was one of these gigantic dragons like Queen Mum, even taller than her. He even used fire more often than any other dragon. Being a poor noble, Lamodrak used to be a dreaded bandit known as the Black Dragon robbing travellers as a living, but he redeemed himself after having accidently saved a merchant's life while actually trying to rob him. Finding the feeling of helping better and his thanks comforting, he decided to reform himself and to work for justice since then. After years of being a faithful knight to King Allfire, he met on a quest a dragon damsel in distress as big as him and fell in love with her. He kept a correspondence with her, and 16 years before season 1, he decided to ask her in marriage and join where she lived, and for that give up on chivalry and live a happy spouse and parent life with her.
In season 2, his sclerotics would be yellow.
Sir Gasflame the Almost Blind was the unseen knight and cousin of Sir Blaze's we heard about in the episode Knight and Knightresses who's been eaten and killed by the glutinous mud monster Hog in the Bog and Sir Blaze got cross by his death and was determined to avenge him. Now, my interpretation : he was a knight of Queen Mum's (Griddle's mum) kingdom of Coalmeliard and because of genetics (he was from Sir Herman's side, he was Herman's brother's Sir Crisptopher's son), he had a very very very bad sight, but EVEN with his glasses on ! He was also low to react and kind of naive and stubborn, which led him to not be liked and to be a mediocre knight, but being stubborn he insisted in remaining one for being like his uncle Herman who he admired. He also admired his cousin who found him to be a boring person. And all of that led him to be eaten. Sir Blaze didn't really like him, but as he has the sense of honor and family and respects his poor tearful uncle who now lost everything, he wanted to avenge him.
In season 2, he wouldn't have horns and his claws would be turquoise.
King Gowan and Queen Fenella were former kings and queen of Scotland. They weren't good rulers, being very immature, having no sense of responsability and only using the money of the taxes for their parties and to give gifts to each other : 'cause yeah, they had a love at first sight and adored each other à la Gomez and Morticia, having the exact same opinions, tastes, hobbies and personality. But they didn't want to be parents, they wanted to enjoy each other only all their life ; managing to love someone other than themselves was already an exploit they didn't think achieve anymore ! But after having been too passionate one night (sorry for the mental images), the condom broke and they had a son. Burnevere. They never wanted him, he was just an unloved accident to them and to the other members of the court. They tried to ignore him the best they could but sometimes, they bullied him because they could. They only saw in him the heir to the throne they had the right to treat the way they wanted. But 1) not wanting to be king and 2) not wanting to remain with a loveless family, Burnevere ran away from home to Camelhot at the age of 18. When they found out ? "Meh, let's choose our nephew as heir." 2 years later, Gowan died in a battle and Fenella committed suicide when she found out. Burnevere's reaction when he found out through the press ? "Cousin William seems to be a good choice o' a heir, to me." That's how William Furnace became king.
In season 2, they would swap body scales colors and tails features and their scelerotics would be yellow.
Lord Burnard and Lady Magmilienne are Flicker's biological parents, still alive, I just drew them the same age of their son but they're now old. Funny, in the old version of the bio in the original submission I said "It always bugs me to see people headcanon Flicker as an orphan because we never see them. Just because of that, seriously ? Did you guys think Loungealot was an orphan until we saw his mom ? Friendly reminder squires in Middle Ages often left their home to be squires !" BUUUUUUUUT thanks to an episode concept Erika made up, she presented other parents to Flicker, who were illiterate poors who didn't like him and only saw good to get from a son living with the royals, and he had a superficial sister, but in the end it would happen he had been adopted, and happy to see these awful characters, who he bore because of a big sense of family he too, were not his biological family he would kick them out after having found out. So now, about Burnard and Magmilienne. I headcanon they were normal and loving parents, loving tenderly the egg with Flicker and
kumbartha's Fire in it (he would have been raised with the abusive parents too, and become very sour and insecure, and was a villain for a moment, because of his childhood with them, not being as pure from grudge and paradoxically confident as Flicker). Lord Burnard is a humble noble who never took the chance of becoming a knight, as he got married as a squire. And Magmilienne has always felt like she ruined everything (although he tells her she was a present). But one day, a kidnapper took the egg away from them, probably for a ransom or something, but while running away on his horse he actually dropped the egg (a luck it didn't get any crack) and rolled to those who would lovelessly raise them just in order to have more working hands in the fields (and I headcanon the adoptive father was not a peasant but the great-grandson of a noble who lost all his fortune by gambling so since then the family lived as peasants, only looking for food and not following educations, so that's why Flicker could become a squire, he was thought to come from a noble family anyway). Lord Burnard and Lady Magmilienne would be looking for it for months before giving up, thinking it had been broken or sent somewhere to be a slave or something, and they got very depressed. But with each other's love and support, and the support from their loving butlers and maids, they managed to survive from the loss and keep living normally, even if broken and tired deep down. And 21 years later, guess who would knock on their doors after having found out from his brother (who know about almost everyone's family trees and invastigated, and saw they looked a lot like that lord) their real parents were actually alive and convinced him to actually come meet them ?... The gap in the old couple's heart got fixed, and they welcomed them in their life, welcomed Flame too who was there (and started shipping it lol), got happy and supportive toward Flicker when finding out he wanted to be a knight, gave endless hugs and kisses to their young adult sons, and both sons and parents decided to visit each other and write to each other regulary, which they did. Burnard and Magmilienne might not have raised their sons, they decided to catch up the lost time and also were there to see their grandchildren be born and were there for them from the start, which healed totally their heart.
In season 2, Burnard's scales would be of the same colors than his son's in season 1 and his hair would be Aegan blue, Magmilienne's scales would be darker, and their sclerotics would be yellow. These colors aside, I will have to redesign Burnard with
kumbartha maybe Magmilienne too but especially Burnard.
Mairead now has a whole new design and bio I already posted about it here http://benthehyena.deviantart.com/a.....read-631671424 and there https://benthehyena.deviantart.com/.....read-733417041
Princess Breathany, Princess Ashley and Prince Lohot (he's inspired from, well, Sir Lohot) are Sir Flicker and Princess Flame's children. Breathany, the eldest one, was a bit jealous of her sister when she was born then calmed down then was jealous of her brother when he was born then calmed down too. Up to the rules in a mix of Flicker's and Leodragon's (who she surprisingly looks like and Allfire is in total denial) ways of being so, she's kind of a little shit when one of her siblings or cousins did a bad thing "I'M TELLING MOM AND DAD" and is very serious when it comes to her duties and works, and can have disdain for anyone who doesn't, especially her energic sister Ashley (giving a "story always repeats itself" vibe reminding of Leodragon about Pendragon). She usually wanted to act like any princess, but as she doesn't feel beautiful, and as King Allfire would (in my own version of s3) legalize female knights she would decide when she's 15 "FUCK IT I can't be a pretty princess ? I heard my mother was a knightress once. LET'S MAKE IT REAL" and she would become Sir Flicker's squire (he would fanboy so much), learn as much as him the whole Code of Chivalry and then become a knightress, Dame Breathany. Later she would marry an anthro wolf prince as she has a huge sense of duty and thinks it will be good for the kingdom (even if her parents keep telling she doesn't have to they already had enough about arranged marriages in their youth lol) but she ends up to fall in love with him with time and even (VERY VERY VERY RARE ONLY 3 OR 4 CASES IN HISTORY) gets to have a hybrid with him ! Ashley, the middle one 2 year younger, is VERY VERY VERY ENERGIC, taking from Pandragon, she is almost always cheerful, playful, enthusiastic, curious but also tricky, she can't remain in place more that 1 minute and she thinks duty and work suck, which always drives her sister mad, and she always manage to drive her more naive brother into her shits with her, Flame and Flicker are always in trouble because of her. Plus the fact she's one of the only dragons in the world who actually LOVES to fly and to always be aware she has wings makes things very hard when they have to run after her. As a teen she would become the pretty princess, but contrary to Breathany who decided to stop acting like a princess because she was not pretty enough to make it credible, she stopped it just because she felt it wasn't her (she was acting like a lady at first because she was told it was a normal thing) and she wanted to be free and have fun, she would get dressed only in a white tank top, gloves, a belt and shoes and her hair combed in a braid, and goes for some years on adventures, tourism and explorations around the world with her friend Mairead dressed and combed like her, to the horror of Flicker and Burnevere. She'll never get married and have kids, but she doesn't care, she's the funny aunt who's much more fun than the other aunt XD Lohot, the youngest one 2 years younger again, being the only boy, is meant to be the king, so the parents and maternal grandparents had to teach him some extra stuff contrary to his sisters, but resulting in him becoming a shy and discret (but friendly) egghead (but as naive and easily manipulated as Allfire, hence why he follows Ashley easily XD and a bit clueless from time to time ; AND OF COURSE HE WILL BE THE NEXT KING !...) who would actually want to be a teacher most of his childhood and teenhood, admiring Burnevere for his knowledge and often borrowing books from him, but he would be sad knowing he would have to be king some day instead. Around the second half of his teenhood he would give in to his duty and future, as he would still get a sense of duty too like Breathany, and would no longer deny it or be grumpy about it like he was before. When Mairead and Ashley would come back from their 3 sabbatical years, HOLY COW Mairead is a woman now, he develops a crush on the much taller dragoness (he's as tall as Flicker, she's as tall as Blaze XD) and is a nerd about women, his sisters help him the best they can. It ends up to work, and Mairead and him end up to date (to Blaze's and Flame's dismay as they saw them as cousins lmao), to marry and even to become parents, a son named Philip (basically a slightly taller Flicker with freckles, ginger hair, Burnevere's 3 spikes on the snout and Blaze's lips, and a personality that is a mix of Flicker and BLAZE IMAGINE THAT AS A KING LATER)
In season 2, Breathany's scales and hair would be darker, Ashley's more yellowish while still greenish too and Lohot's of the same colors than his father's in season 2, Ashley's hair would be light blonde like Morlava if she appeared in s2, and Breathany's and Lohot's sclerotics would be yellow.
There, I did the best I could edit the descriptions to my current headcanons, and keep in mind the next times I'll draw them they will look differently as I am indicating on the drawing and in the s2 sections of the descriptions. You can read the old ones on the old submission of course, I didn't edit it purposely for that. And again I have many more BD OCs now I won't do more dumps of that type !

These colors aside, I will have to redesign Burnard with
kumbartha maybe Magmilienne too but especially Burnard.Mairead now has a whole new design and bio I already posted about it here http://benthehyena.deviantart.com/a.....read-631671424 and there https://benthehyena.deviantart.com/.....read-733417041
