That's going to be one mean ass police car, for reals. I drove one of this generation, and they're actually really smooth to drive, with plenty of pickup for a V6...

Nope, the SHOs were 3.0L V6's in the manuals and 3.2L V6's in the automatic's case, they just felt like a 4.7L 'cause they had more horsepower than the Mustang of the day The later V8 models were only 3.4L automatics. I have to say this 'cause I'm a Taurus and SHO fanatic, SHO or not they've always been great cars, even though Ford had softened them up over the years to please the masses, still the same great chassis nearly from beginning to end.

Huh, I learn something new everyday. Never debated if they were on a good chassis, but the four cylinders did have lots of problems (at least the one my dad owned did... it was also an 86?)

Oh the MT5's are super rare, I dunno how reliable they are, maybe that's why they're so rare now xD
