Taylor encounters a ragtag band of resistance fighters and one such character is an old war veteran who goes by the name of Mikhail (Courtesy of character owner: MikhailTheTiger on Discord and ionitamircea32 on DA). He took an immediate disliking to the young wolf, but was tasked to grill her into shape for oncoming war with the Arbiter. She hated the daily training regime, thinking homicidal thoughts that Ahya was all to eager to enact for real. Despite their love/hate relationship on the training field, over time as Taylor got more skilled and athletic, they each garnered a grudging respect for one another by the end of it.
Thank to Ruolina on FA for helping me general a 3d mock-up piece to hand to the artist for reference.

That anger to just get the training over with so she does not have to deal with the tiger would make a great motivator for her to complete her training, and the training forcing individuals unlikely to get along otherwise, the tail and Taylor, will help them save each other's backs in whatever combat scenario they encounter. Also I think the tiger not liking them, thus being extra harsh helps too. XD I am not a military person, but I have an admiration and respect for those that serve in any branch of the armed forces. They have companionship and teamwork that cannot be beat. May Taylor and Ahya find success in the war! :D
Most of the time negativity bonds people because they are suffering together and they have to work together if they want that suffering to end. The tail, Taylor, and the tiger character (Whom I realized I have seen before drawn in other people's art I watch, XD.), all hate each other, but Ahya and Taylor have to use team work if they want to get through the harsh training, plus they share a grudge against the tiger. The tiger hates them, and that will make him be more strict and rough against them, thus facilitating the team work between Ahya and Taylor, and in time the tiger will respect them as he sees them work together to succeed in his challenges.
Ironic how humans want to avoid negativity but it is negativity that can actually produce something positive.
