So this is my experimentation with the Cintiq. Obviously, still a work in progress but I wanted to show one of my first digital efforts.
This would have taken about a week to do with pen and colored pencils. Fumbling around with the tablet, it took about three hours. What do you think?
Hmm.

This looks really good! It's pretty similar to the pieces you've done with pencils, but a bit smoother. Definitely still got the same style tho.
Dunno what software you're using, and I'm not sure if this would help or hinder you, but there's a decent art package out there called ArtRage that's pretty good at emulating physical media and tools. Might be able to reproduce the effects of colored pencils digitally if ya get in a mood. :3

The work that you do with color pencils is totally unique.
I mean that.
I've seen your original art, some of which you haven't seen in 15 years, maybe more. I've touched your work. To say that it's beautiful doesn't even begin to do it justice. You didn't just layer and burnish, you fused the pencil and the paper into a living thing.
Your hands must be so strong, I would be genuinely afraid to get into a game of Mercy with you.
So if this is the result of just 3 hours of futzing around with something you've never used before, then by God, I would survive the Apocalypse to see what you come up with when you consider yourself "good" at digital!
