This photo was taken in late March in Middle Village in the borough of Queens, New York City - my former home. This was taken inside of Rentar Plaza, a shopping center that has been there for decades.

This Toys R Us store had been there since the late 1980s. (The space was previously occupied by Waldbaum's, a supermarket chain that went bankrupt back in 2015. This Waldbaum's moved downstairs to the Metro Mall section of Rentar Plaza where it operated until sometime in the early 2000s.) I walked around in this store and it was sad to see it shutting down.

As this was taken in late March, it's safe to say this store is now closed for good. I wonder what will be there next.
