He's alive and quite well, just not in the comic universe. But there are 2 things i'd like to point out: even before things went south Eli appeared there not that often. Second, looking at the crap they publish now i'm kinda glad my fav squirrel is not a part of that. Style, shading, dialogues - everything became stupid Sonic-boom comedic shit for small kids, no nice conflict, no chara development.
