Heh, funny story about that :P Both of these characters are Changelings, half mortal and half faerie. Atar has a latent shapeshifting ability where he can shrink, and grow gossamer wings, and fly. Dusk's shtick is that she starts off normal bunny sized, but she can increase in size to a functionally infinite degree by eating increasingly absurd amounts of food. She usually likes to stay bigger than Atar, because she's dommy and teasy like that :P
