I decided to start drawing something kind of out of character for Shannon to calm some nerves last Saturday. My track coach picked me to run the 2 mile event last Saturday and I was having a lot of pre race anxiety (I don't have anxiety, I just get really nervous around race time) Anyway I ran with a time of 10:50 which was a personal record and placed 19th place out of 42. So it was a good race, just painful. Unfortunately this doesn't have a background due to a stupid accident. I finished this drawing of Shannon a few days ago, but I was working on a background. Anyway I figured I'd work on it on m way to school, or before track practice so I put my Surface Pro 3 in my backpack. I think a textbook put a little too much pressure on the screen or something because it left a hairline fracture across the screen. Though it's hardly visible, the touchscreen is no longer functional and it doesn't work with my pen for drawing. Microsoft wanted $600 to replace the screen, and I've found Surface Pro 3s on eBay for around $400, so right now I'm waiting for an estimate from a screen repair service that specializes in Surface devices. So until then I'll either have to draw traditional, or on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phone which has a small screen lacks pressure sensitivity. So hopefully I'll get that fixed or replaced soon.
