Part of a two-part assignment for my Illustration class. The prompt was to take a pair of opposites from a provided list and illustrate them. I chose heavy and light. This piece represents myself and my depression. Feeling like I "should" be able to do something (wings, thinking I should be able to fly) but being unable to (wings are mangled). It also shows the feeling of abandonment and isolation that I've felt over the past couple of years. The mask being a representation of pretending that I'm okay.
