Pane 1: Long ago, in the mists of time, there existed a race of felines known as the Kiyrie. Created by the Earth herself, they were her favored children. She gave them the ability to shapeshift.

Pane 2: She also gave them the cunning to avoid the hyunitarri, hunters capable of seeking out the kiyrie and capturing them for the gods that want them dead. The gods feared what the kiyrie could become., but one, the goddess Aum. Aum wanted them gone because they created against her wishes.

Pane 3: Timid by nature, they hide away, but there exists among them a few which aren't so timid. These brave scouts watch the world and tell the others what they observe such as war and famine. And the locations of the dreaded hyunitarri so the others may venture out in safety.

Pane 4: The hyunitarri kill without mercy...

Pane 5: ... that is why they must be watched.
