An intrigue plot! Characters whose significance we do not know yet! A character with no knowledge of the world now is going out into it. At least he's got help in high places. Just why can nobody give him a straight answer? What's the significance of all these Mcguffins, will we actually get to see what they are or are they just plot devices made to advance the plot when the author is in the corner. How much of this was actual foreshadowing and how much of this was just a big-lipped-alligator moment? Bad worldbuilding and soft fantasy await!
