(XX days before the fall of the Eight Kingdom)
I'm nervous about what is going on, and I know others are too, but I feel especially so.
The (illegible) are coming, and the whole kingdom is preparing. (illegible)...not to worry, but I do. How could I not? The threat is bigger than I thought, and the Yoshi Guard can't do anything against it. I guess that is why we have to rely on (illegible)...and magic. But I'm not being told anything, just being told to tend to my duties until the situation comes to pass. But I can't just sit still and wait for this threat to come. I have to do SOMETHING.
(illegible) understands, he's nervous too. He tells me he has a plan, and to believe in him and what he can do. He's my friend. I'm suppose to protect him, not the other way around.
He told me what my part was going to be. He told me that when he entered the (illegible)....had to stay out no matter what. I said I would do what he wanted, but that's not how I feel. Was he going to take it on his own with just...(illegible)...his hand? I don't know much about magic, I was a soldier, a protector, and he was telling me to stand assit and trust him.
Can I do that? I do not know. When (illegible) starts his plan, and those doors close, what should I do? Should I wait? Turn and walk away? Or bash that door open? It scares me to wonder which option is the right one.
It's not long now. The Eight Kingdom is the one thing standing in the way of the other seven falling. We're the most powerful of the kingdoms, and yet even our King is nervous.
