A friend of mine in a writing group I'm in and I decided to have a little art trade recently. Playing to our strengths she drew an amazing rendering of my character Mara in her human form. She challenged me to draw a hellhound with a very rough description then released me to have fun. I LOVED drawing this. I think this was the best quadruped I've ever drawn. I love it so much. Can't believe I've never drawn a Hellhound that wasn't a pokémon before.
For it I took influence from a few different canines, a extinct one I can't remember the name, a jackal, maned wolf, caucasian mountain shepherd and german shepherd.
I've been feeling tempted lately to do a painting with it but, I don't know yet. Regardless I loved this.
