So, this took me forever and a year (and then some) but I try not to forget my promises. VixxyFox managed to snag one of my x-page views (I can't even remember the number now!) and I promised to make her an arrow. This is the final product! I've done a few different things to this arrow...always trying to improve on what I've done before. The fletching is bound with artificial sinew, which I actually found more cumbersome than the natural stuff. Instead of using just woodburning, I've now started using paint pens to add some color to my work (more detail on this in another submission). I also stained the arrow, something I've never tried before, but was pretty pleased with.

I believe it was a general Egyptian theme she requested, so I decided to try vines of Egyptian flowers up and down the arrow shaft...it took me forever to get it to look and feel right. Another reason I don't do much freehand drawing :-P

Now the only challenge will be getting this to her! Vixxy, if you could note me with your address, I'll try to find something to ship it in!
