On Sunday, April 15th 2018, a formation of four helicopters landed at Henderson Airport's south end. After an hour of being on the ground they took off and headed east towards their home base.
The Venom is a helicopter based on the twin-engine UH-1N, and is the result of the so-called H-1 Upgrade program.
The major change includes replacing the original two-blade main rotor with a composite four-blade model. The onboard systems were also enhanced, and have flat panel displays. And lastly, more than 70% of the internal parts are shared with the AH-1Z Viper.
The aircraft pictured is the second of the two Venoms departing.
